As Program Manager for the Racial Wealth Divide Initiative team, Jessika supports the management of the Building High-Impact Nonprofits of Color and the African American Financial Capability Initiative projects. In this role, Jessika supports the team’s efforts across 12 cities working with nonprofits of color. Along with her programmatic work, Jessika also manages the communication efforts for the Racial Wealth Divide Initiative team. This includes, but is not limited to, producing the Race & Wealth Podcast, managing the Bridging the Racial Wealth Divide Facebook page and managing the creation of Racial Wealth Divide Data Profiles.
Prior to joining Prosperity Now, Jessika worked in the nonprofit sector, focused on local economic development for six years in both Pittsburgh, PA, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Jessika holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work focusing in Community Organizing/Social Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in Sociology from San Francisco State University.
