Pamela Chan is Project Director of Human Insights at Prosperity Now, a national non-profit based in Washington, D.C. that seeks to ensure that everyone in the U.S. has a clear path to financial stability and prosperity. In this role, Ms. Chan collaborates with organizations that serve people in economically disadvantaged communities to broaden understanding of their clients through research and utilize those insights to improve services and fuel innovation. Her work draws from marketing and consumer research, human-centered design and behavioral economics.
Prior to joining Prosperity Now, Ms. Chan was a Senior Policy Analyst at the New America Foundation where she studied how consumer financial products, programs and regulations affect lower-income communities and managed a national workplace savings pilot. She also previously worked at the Nielsen Company where she conducted concept and product tests and advised Fortune 500 companies on new product marketing strategies. She holds a B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin, a J.D. from Northwestern University, and an M.P.A. from Harvard University.
