Spectra Myers is a Senior Research Manager on Prosperity Now's Applied Research team. In this role, she conducts human insights research to understand the financial capability and asset building needs, preferences, and behaviors of people in lower-income communities. She also provides methodological expertise on research and evaluation to a range of practitioners.
Prior to joining Prosperity Now, Spectra worked in market research in the advertising industry and in the evaluation of youth programs and the expansion of social entrepreneurs at Ashoka. She also served as a Research Fellow on the University of Minnesota partnership with The MasterCard Foundation’s Learn, Earn, and Save Initiative. The project is one of the largest longitudinal evaluations examining the impact of youth livelihoods programs on entrepreneurial skills and savings.
Spectra holds a Master of Arts in Evaluation Studies from the University of Minnesota and Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Macalester College.
