CSAs in the City: Assessing Municipal and Countywide Opportunities
The Children’s Savings Account (CSA) movement has continued to spread across the country over the past year. Two new mayors—Melvin Carter of St. Paul, MN and Keisha Lance Bottoms of Atlanta, GA—have taken notice. Both mayors have recently announced plans to create CSAs as a pillar of their economic development agendas. St. Louis Treasurer Tishaura Jones, hailed as a rising political star, has also touted CSAs as a key wealth-building strategy for her community.
There’s a lot of energy around expanding CSAs at the city and county level, making this the perfect topic for the next webinar in our Children’s Savings Learning Series!
Join Prosperity Now’s Monica Copeland and Diego Quezada on Tuesday, July 17 from 2-3pm EDT as we discuss the opportunities and challenges of starting and managing CSAs at the municipal and county level with two practitioners at varying stages in this work. Register today!
