How ‘#FinTech for Good’ Can Create Financial Health
The Assets & Opportunity Network and the Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) hosted a webinar on the benefits of financial technology—“FinTech”—for low- and moderate income individuals.
FinTech refers to technological innovations that provide much-needed financial products to individuals underserved by the traditional financial services market. Through nimble online and mobile financial tools, FinTech brings financial services directly to the consumer.
This webinar was an opportunity for financial capability practitioners to learn more about the growing world of FinTech and how products are vetted to ensure they meet the needs of our most vulnerable consumers. During the webinar, we heard from some of the entrepreneurial startups and nonprofit winners of the 2016 Financial Solutions Lab, managed by the Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) with founding partner JPMorgan Chase & Co., and identified ways that practitioners can connect consumers with FinTech solutions that improve their overall financial health.
