Prosperity Now has launched the Recovery Through Resilience Fund to support communities recovering from natural disasters. The fund focuses on rebuilding local economies, supporting homeowners, and strengthening systems for future resilience.
We’ve also joined the FORGE LA collaborative, a cross-sector initiative led by The Center by Lendistry, JPMorganChase, and Urban Institute. Developed in response to the Eaton Wildfires in Los Angeles in January 2025, this effort advances solutions to help homeowners rebuild and stabilize communities affected by this disaster.
To bring these challenges into focus, Prosperity Now produced a short documentary, Standing Strong: The Spirit of Altadena, in partnership with LA-based production company New Vizion. The short film examines the economic and social implications of the wildfires on Altadena communities, following three families navigating loss and displacement while demonstrating hope and resilience.
