The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a free tax preparation service available to households earning below $54,000 a year. In this report, supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, we analyze the extent to which VITA acts as a gateway to other financial capability resources and tools that could benefit the program’s clients.
