Hiba Haroon is a Senior Program Manager on Prosperity Now's Savings and Financial Capability Team. In this role, she is responsible for managing projects that provide technical assistance to leaders and practitioners of community-based organizations and government agencies on equitable and multi-faceted financial capability program design and implementation. She is also co-leading the development of the field’s first-ever Financial Coaching Program Design Guide.
Prior to joining Prosperity Now, Hiba worked in Houston, TX, at the Alliance for Multicultural Community Services, a community-based agency which provides comprehensive services to refugees, immigrants and low-income residents of the Greater Houston Area. At the Alliance, she first served as a Financial Coach and Program Manager of the Financial Opportunity Center, which provides income-support, workforce development and financial coaching as well as Individual Development Accounts, Small Business loans and Credit Builder products to Houston residents. In this capacity, she was responsible for coordinating outreach, marketing and delivery of services; writing federal and non-federal grant proposals; monitoring budgets and program performance; and establishing and maintaining relationships with funders and stakeholders.
Hiba completed her undergraduate studies at the University of St. Thomas-Houston in International Studies and Philosophy and her graduate studies at Syracuse University in Cultural Foundations of Education.
